Treetop Glamping Holiday
Hello and welcome
Our glamping holiday accommodation By the Wye is on the border between mid Wales and Herefordshire. Hidden in the heart of Hay on Wye, elevated in clearings between trees, on the bank of the River Wye is where you will find our luxury treetop Safari Tent Accommodation. Off-grid woodland glamping accommodation, perched on platforms, floating out above the woodland floor, relax on the deck with the River Wye babbling at your feet and the expanse of the Brecon Beacons dark sky reserve glittering overhead.
Treetop Glamping
Allow your days to float by effortlessly
The glamping holiday accommodation in Hay on Wye is as beautiful as it’s riverside location. Thoughtfully positioned Safari Tents are elevated on stilts so you sleep up in the tree canopy. Combining the rustic eco-friendly practicalities of a campsite, we allow families and couples to enjoy the luxury of a boutique hotel with the comforts of home, under canvas. Important to note is that due to the nature of By the Wye; being a quiet woodland escape, we do not accept bookings for parties, or hen/stag do’s (see terms and conditions). Badgers, foxes, otters and a huge amount of birdlife call the woods their home and it is for this reason we do not accept dogs at By the Wye.
Each eco-friendly glamping tent has its own en-suite bathroom, complete with hot running water, flushing loo and basin and power showers. Our treetop glamping site offers luxury accommodation under canvas with all the creature comforts and the wilderness on your doorstep. Come for a holiday and escape from the world.

UK Easter Escapes
Cosy stays under canvas
The first signs of Spring are here as green shoots are starting to appear along the woodland floor at By the Wye, making this the perfect time to visit for an Easter family holiday in Wales. Soon the woodland will begin to transform into a luscious green wonderland and birdsong will echo through the trees, just in time for the holidays.
Bring on the Sunshine!
As we head into Spring, temperatures start to rise and the chances of sunshine making an appearance for your holiday are almost certain. Head to the riverbank to soak up some rays, enjoy long walks in the woods, relax on the decking outside your safari tent and end the day cooking up a storm on the firepit and dine al fresco riverside as the sun sets.
